FVPOA Still Operating Without Contract

In August 2016, at the city's request, the Fountain Valley Police Officers Association agreed to freeze our then current contract with the city for six months. That six-month period expired February 1st 2017.  As a result, we have been operating without a contract for nearly 5 months.   We continue to actively meet and negotiate in good faith with the city in hopes we can come to a fair agreement.  As time continues to pass it should be noted our staffing levels are hitting all time lows as crime continues to rise.  Facing an ever changing, unpredictable environment, rest assured the men and women of the FVPOA remain steadfast and vigilant in performing our duties as we were sworn to do, with courage, duty and commitment.  As always we remain hopeful we can soon reach a deal with the city that will not only attract new talented applicants but will help retain the ones we currently have.
